Summer Holidays!!

I can’t believe that we have reached the end of our Primary 1 year!! It has been a very exciting year with lots of memorable events – I hope that everyone enjoyed the video of our time in P1 (and maybe shed a few tears)!

Thank you very much to all the pupils and parents for the lovely gifts at the end of the year, you have all been incredibly generous and I really do appreciate it.

Enjoy the holidays and I shall see you all back in August!

End of Year Celebration!

Thank you so much to everyone who managed to make it along today for our little end of year celebration!!  I hope that you enjoyed the video that I put together showing just some of the exciting things that we have been up to this year – it certainly made me very emotional!!

We had a fab time at Landmark today!! Please take a minute to have a look at the slideshow showing some of the adventures we got up to!

I’m not sure about the children but I am sooooo tired that I will sleep like a log tonight!!

This week we have begun thinking about the athletes taking part in the Olympics.  We have been learning about different parts of the body and next week we are going to think a bit more about how they keep their bodies healthy.  Have a look at our athletes that we made – we drew around some children and labelled different parts of their body.

Well done to Rory, Alastair, Mia, Alana, Keinan and Caitlin B who made fantastic Olympic torches at home!  (Caitlin – we will get your picture up next week!)

Last week we were very lucky to have 3 lots of visitors come into our class!  On Tuesday Cait from the Inverness Museum came in to see some of the things that we use our Smartboard for and then she showed us some of the things that she keeps at the museum.  Cait told us to come and visit anytime and make sure we ask for her!

We also had some Primary 4 children come in to share some powerpoints that they have made (in their own time) about minibeasts and oyster catchers.  Ellie N, Casey and Emma J all talked very confidently and clearly and were very knowledgable about their topics!

Well Done Bethan!

Well Done to Bethan who won the MOL bookmark design competition!!  Her design has been made into little bookmarks that will be used as library cards in our school library.  We are all very proud of you Bethan!!
